CZUR ET24 Pro vs ET Max: look beyond megapixels
A specification and evidence comparison, with no invented winner or head-to-head benchmark.
There is no tested winner in this comparison.
ET Max has higher published sensor and nominal resolution figures. ET24 Pro has two historical independent reviews in our source set. Neither fact establishes the better purchase for every book, computer or budget. Match the exact product to your material and workflow.

Specification source: CZUR specifications. We omit uncertain shared family claims and recommend verifying operating-system requirements in CZUR support.
The evidence is uneven
PCMag, 2022 reported positive ET24 OCR results in its historical Windows test. The Gadgeteer, 2022 identified software and lighting friction. These refer to ET24, the material tested and the versions available then.
The Gadgeteer, 2025 found ET Max useful for text digitization but noted handling, processing and image-reproduction limits. Its different source material and test setup prevent a fair numerical head-to-head with the ET24 articles.
We do not subtract an old review's price from a current store price or reuse crowdfunding prices as today's cost. We have not verified current model-specific prices.
Use your task to narrow the choice
- Printed text: request OCR and image samples using a comparable font, size, language and binding.
- Pictures and artwork: inspect color, edges and processing changes; do not choose solely on the sensor figure.
- Small, stiff books: examine handling and rescan effort, not only nominal capture speed.
- Loose sheets: first decide whether an overhead design suits the batch at all.
- Your computer: verify downloads and the current software workflow before choosing either model.
Questions to settle at the listing
Confirm the exact model, bundle, seller, included controls, return window, shipping and warranty. The store may sell multiple variants; a brand-store link does not select ET24 Pro or ET Max on your behalf.

Questions before you buy
Can you name the best model?
Not responsibly from this source set alone. We can identify trade-offs and published differences, but we have not run comparable tests.
Why does one source list 360dpi for ET24?
The 2022 Gadgeteer article contains that figure; current CZUR information and PCMag list 320dpi. We use the manufacturer's current 320dpi statement and disclose the discrepancy.
Does the official review widget compare the models?
No. The ET family widget combines entries that may name different models or no model at all. Its aggregate rating is not a head-to-head result.
